Where
dance and architecture meet.
Born from an experimental collaboration
between designers, dancers, and choreographers, the O House
is about the convergence of fluid motion and architecture.
Going beyond the anecdotal approach of designing a “building
in motion,” my goal was to create a sensation of movement
inside the house. Drawing inspiration from my experience as
a dancer on stage, not the movements imagined by architects,
I drew the interior plan as an endless ramp that starts at
the base of the house and continues to the top of the terrace.
This contiguous, sweeping motion conveys a compelling feeling
of movement. |
